Overview
NOS Field Pro is a field-estimating application for Nichols Outdoor Solutions. The app does not require a user account and does not send customer, property, estimate, profitability, schedule, or payment-configuration information to Nichols Outdoor Solutions servers.
Information stored on the device
Customer and property records, estimate details, schedules, operational settings, notes, and configured payment instructions are stored locally on the device. This information remains under the device user's control. Deleting the app may remove locally stored app information.
Contacts and location
With the user's permission, NOS Field Pro can import a customer selected from the device's Contacts app. Imported details are stored locally and are not uploaded to a developer-operated service.
With the user's permission, the app can capture the device's current location when the user requests it for a property record. NOS Field Pro does not perform background location tracking. Saved coordinates or an address may be opened in Apple Maps at the user's request.
Optional property lot-size lookup
When the user chooses Search in the Marion County property lookup, the entered street address and ZIP code are sent to Marion County GIS over an encrypted connection. The service also receives connection information such as the requesting IP address. Customer names, contact details, notes, and quote or profitability information are not included in the lookup. This request requires internet access and is optional; manual estimating remains available without it.
A selected parcel reference, including its address, parcel identifier, acreage and retrieval time, is cached on the device for offline reference. Marion County operates the external service and controls its own handling of requests. County lot area includes non-lawn surfaces and does not automatically determine the area maintained or the quoted price.
Data collection and tracking
NOS Field Pro does not collect personal data for advertising, does not sell data, and does not use cross-app tracking. The current version does not operate a developer-controlled analytics, advertising, cloud-account, or cloud-storage service.
External services
The app may open Apple Maps, Facebook Messenger, or links for third-party payment services such as Zelle, Cash App, or Venmo when requested and configured by the device user. NOS Field Pro does not process, receive, or verify those transactions. Use of an external service is governed by that service's own terms and privacy policy.
Security and responsibility
Device users should protect their device with an appropriate passcode and confirm payment activity directly in the official business account. Nichols Outdoor Solutions cannot recover locally stored information that has been removed from the device.
Changes
This policy may be updated when app features or data practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
